Rep. Bill Farmer Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“I’m supporting Andy Barr because he shares my commitment to protecting the Kentucky taxpayer,” stated Farmer. “Andy has demonstrated time and again his commitment to fiscally conservative principles in central Kentucky, and he’s the Republican we need to represent us in Washington.” Bill Farmer has represented Kentucky’s 88th District in the Kentucky House since 2003. Farmer is a tax accountant with HTI Tax Service in Lexington.
Terry Forcht Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“Andy Barr has the leadership and values that we need more of in Washington today,” said Terry Forcht. “He has demonstrated that he has the vision and the resources to put forward a successful campaign.”
Terry E. Forcht is the founder and CEO of Forcht Bank and the Forcht Group of Kentucky.
Ralph Hacker Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“Andy Barr is the Republican leader we need representing us in Congress. His conservative values and commitment to limited government, free enterprise and fiscal responsibility are lacking in our current representation,” stated Hacker. “Andy will not be a rubber stamp for Nancy Pelosi.”
Ralph Hacker was the “voice” of the basketball Wildcats for nine years and did the play-by-play for Kentucky football for five seasons. Hacker and Cawood Ledford, the former voice of the Wildcats who retired in 1992, became known as one of the nation’s premier collegiate broadcasting teams for their work with Kentucky football and basketball for 20 years. Hacker, a native of Richmond, began his radio career at age 15, doing play-by-play for high school games. By age 16, he was announcing football and basketball for Eastern Kentucky University games. He covered UK athletics for five years before joining the UK Radio Network team for the 1972-73 athletics season. As president of HMH Broadcasting, he was instrumental in building one of the state’s top broadcasting companies with properties such as WVLK Radio, which was UK’s flagship station until 1999.
State Representative Mike Harmon Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“I have had an opportunity to meet with Andy Barr and appreciate his strict Constitutional views, his pro-life stances, his conservative approach, and his connections to the 54th House District which I represent,” said Representative Harmon. “I am hopeful he will be the Republican candidate in the Fall, as well as our future Congressman from the Sixth District.”
State Representative Mike Harmon represents the 54th Kentucky House District consisting of Boyle and Washington counties. He has served in the Kentucky House of Representatives since 2003.

John Roach Endorses Andy Barr for Congress

J.P. Blevins Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“I know that Andy Barr will be a champion for small business owners everywhere,” stated Blevins. “As the founder and operator of multiple businesses, I experience firsthand just how time-consuming complying with federal requirements can be. It really takes away from my ability to move my enterprise forward. Andy’s commitment to limited government is a commitment to protecting job creation, and that’s why I’m supporting him for Congress.”
J.P. Blevins was a member of the University of Kentucky men’s basketball team for all four years of his college career, lettering each year. He distinguished himself as being the Wildcat’s top three-point shooter and free-throw shooter in 2000 and earned the respect of his fellow Wildcat teammates culminating in the honor of being chosen as team co-captain in 2001-2002. J.P. distinguished himself academically by earning Academic All-Southeastern Conference honors for three consecutive years and by being named to the University of Kentucky Athletics Director’s honor roll for five consecutive semesters; graduated magna cum laude in Communications in 2002.
Currently, J.P. is involved with “Get The Edge Basketball” which runs youth basketball training camps, “A Better Self dedicated to assisting people with weight loss, “In Pursuit” which organizes motivational programs for schools, and “Gameday Apps” an iPod application development company.
Bob Gable Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“It is time to elect a true conservative and true Republican to represent central Kentucky in Congress,” said Gable. “Andy Barr is committed to limiting spending, providing real free-market solutions to control the cost of health care, and promoting strong national security. That is exactly why we need him representing us in the 6th District.”
Bob Gable has a long history of involvement with the Republican Party. For six years, he was Chairman of the Republican Party of Kentucky, and is a former Republican gubernatorial nominee. He served for many years on the Republican State Central Committee, and is presently a member of the Kentucky State Board of Elections.
Stan Cave Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“Andy Barr is the right kind of person to represent the 6th Congressional District,” said Stan Cave. “He reflects our values and our priorities.
“I have observed Andy Barr’s work ethic and moral character first hand,” continued Cave. “Andy Barr is no stranger to hard work. He is intelligent, experienced and will know how to deal with the difficult and complex issues facing our Nation. Andy also cares about people and will listen to our concerns. He is a man we can trust. I can’t think of anyone who I’d rather have representing us in Congress than Andy Barr.”
Stan Cave served Kentucky’s 45th district in the House of Representatives from 1993-2000, and he was Chair of the House Republican Caucus from 1995-1998. In 1997 he was named as a National Republican Legislator of the Year. He served in the administration of Governor Ernie Fletcher from 2005-2007, first as Chief of Staff, then as State Budget Director. Cave is currently an attorney in private practice in Lexington.
C.D. Noland Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“Andy Barr is the Republican we need to represent us in Kentucky’s Sixth District,” said C.D. Noland. “He has the right conservative principles we need representing us in Congress.”
Clarence D. Noland, Jr. served Kentucky’s 84th district in the House of Representatives from 1982-1996 and was House Republican Caucus Chair from 1991-1994. He is a board member of the Estill Development Alliance, vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Marcum Wallace Memorial Hospital and a member of Shriners and the Irvine Masonic Association.
Larry Brandstetter Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
“Andy Barr represents conservative values of central Kentucky,” said Larry Brandstetter. “He favors less government, low taxes, strong defense and personal responsibility. He and I both agree that the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Ben Chandler have to be defeated in 2010.”
Larry Brandstetter is the President of Brandstetter Carroll Inc, architects, engineers and planners. He served Kentucky’s 79th district in the House of Representatives from 1995-1998. He has served on the board of the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Kentucky Board of Architects, and is the past President of Lexington Rotary. In 1996 he was recognized as a distinguished alumnus of the Ohio State University.
Pat Freibert Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
"Because of his devotion to limited and responsive government, it is an easy choice to support Andy Barr as the Republican candidate for Kentucky's 6th District Congressional seat,” said Pat Freibert. “More than ever, Kentucky needs a representative in Washington to stand tall and be bold on behalf of jobs and fiscal responsibility. Pat Freibert is a freelance writer and civic volunteer. She served Kentucky’s 78th district in the House of Representatives from 1979 to 1993. She is the past Chairwoman of the Kentucky Commission on Women 2004-2007.
Freibert has served on Kentucky Republican Party State Central Committee and the Executive Committees of the Fayette County Republican Party and the Kentucky Federation of Republican Women. She is also the recipient of numerous Public Service Awards.
