Andy Barr for Congress Announces Campaign Manager
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY – The Andy Barr for Congress campaign is pleased to announce the hiring of Austin McCubbin as the Campaign Manager.
"I am honored to have Austin working on my campaign," said Andy Barr. “He brings to the table integrity, a hard work ethic and strong management skills that have been proven in the most difficult of circumstances."
Austin is from Christian County, and a graduate of Transylvania University with a BA in International Security. He served as Director of Advance for Governor Ernie Fletcher's office from 2005-2007.
He then spent nineteen months in Baghdad, Iraq as a civilian overseeing the finance and administration for the primary support contract to the US Forces Hospital, the hospital featured in the HBO series “Bagdad ER”.
“I am excited for this opportunity to be a part of this winning team,” said McCubbin. “Andy Barr has been recognized by leaders throughout central Kentucky as the right candidate to capture the Republican nomination and defeat Ben Chandler in November.”
“Andy Barr’s campaign is centered on the issues of limiting government spending, creating Kentucky jobs, and promoting free-market solutions that will actually address the rising costs of health care,” said McCubbin, “the issues that are important to Kentucky families. It is time that central Kentucky voters have a representative that stands up for their priorities and puts a stop to the ‘business as usual’ of Chandler and Pelosi.”
