Campaign Gaining Momentum in Sixth District Race
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY – Sixth District Congressional candidate Andy Barr raised over $382,000 in the 2nd quarter of 2010, making it the campaign's strongest fundraising quarter to date. The campaign has raised over $811,000 this cycle and will file their full report to the FEC by the July 15th deadline.
Barr said he was humbled by the outpouring of financial support. "People across the Sixth District are clearly responding to my message of cutting wasteful government spending and job creation. Career politicians are not getting the job done in Washington and Central Kentuckians are ready for a change in representation."
A strong fundraising quarter is another sign that Barr's campaign is gaining momentum. Two weeks ago, the National Republican Congressional Committee designated Andy a "Young Gun," identifying his race as one of the top Republican pick up opportunities in the country.
