Barr Endorsed by Associated Builders and Contractors

Aug 24th, 2010

LEXINGTON, KY -  The Associated Builders and Contractors of Kentuckiana (ABC) has endorsed Republican candidate Andy Barr in the Sixth District Congressional race.  ABC represents over 450 construction and construction-related businesses in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.

Barr said he was grateful to earn ABC's endorsement. "“I am honored to have the endorsement of a pro-business group like ABC.  Rather than continuing Washington’s big government, big spending agenda, we need to allow entrepreneurs and private sector employers, like ABC member companies, to lead our nation’s economic recovery."

Andy Barr is challenging incumbent Democrat Ben Chandler in the November election.  Barr has been named to the National Republican Congressional Committee's "Young Gun" list and outraised Chandler in the last reporting period.
