LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY – Andy Barr announced today four former members of the Kentucky House of Representatives have endorsed his campaign for Congress. “I am humbled to have received the endorsements of C.D. Noland, Pat Freibert, Larry Brandstetter and Stan Cave. I continue to be encouraged by the strong support my campaign is receiving from throughout central Kentucky,” stated Andy Barr.

Stan Cave Endorses Andy Barr for Congress

“Andy Barr is the right kind of person to represent the 6th Congressional District,” said Stan Cave. “He reflects our values and our priorities.

“I have observed Andy Barr’s work ethic and moral character first hand,” continued Cave. “Andy Barr is no stranger to hard work. He is intelligent, experienced and will know how to deal with the difficult and complex issues facing our Nation. Andy also cares about people and will listen to our concerns. He is a man we can trust. I can’t think of anyone who I’d rather have representing us in Congress than Andy Barr.”

Stan Cave served Kentucky’s 45th district in the House of Representatives from 1993-2000, and he was Chair of the House Republican Caucus from 1995-1998. In 1997 he was named as a National Republican Legislator of the Year. He served in the administration of Governor Ernie Fletcher from 2005-2007, first as Chief of Staff, then as State Budget Director. Cave is currently an attorney in private practice in Lexington.

C.D. Noland Endorses Andy Barr for Congress

“Andy Barr is the Republican we need to represent us in Kentucky’s Sixth District,” said C.D. Noland. “He has the right conservative principles we need representing us in Congress.”

Clarence D. Noland, Jr. served Kentucky’s 84th district in the House of Representatives from 1982-1996 and was House Republican Caucus Chair from 1991-1994. He is a board member of the Estill Development Alliance, vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Marcum Wallace Memorial Hospital and a member of Shriners and the Irvine Masonic Association.

Larry Brandstetter Endorses Andy Barr for Congress

“Andy Barr represents conservative values of central Kentucky,” said Larry Brandstetter. “He favors less government, low taxes, strong defense and personal responsibility. He and I both agree that the likes of Nancy Pelosi and Ben Chandler have to be defeated in 2010.”

Larry Brandstetter is the President of Brandstetter Carroll Inc, architects, engineers and planners. He served Kentucky’s 79th district in the House of Representatives from 1995-1998. He has served on the board of the Lexington Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Kentucky Board of Architects, and is the past President of Lexington Rotary. In 1996 he was recognized as a distinguished alumnus of the Ohio State University.

Pat Freibert Endorses Andy Barr for Congress

"Because of his devotion to limited and responsive government, it is an easy choice to support Andy Barr as the Republican candidate for Kentucky's 6th District Congressional seat,” said Pat Freibert. “More than ever, Kentucky needs a representative in Washington to stand tall and be bold on behalf of jobs and fiscal responsibility. Andy Barr is committed to holding down government spending and taxes, and he will listen to Kentucky voices."

Pat Freibert is a freelance writer and civic volunteer. She served Kentucky’s 78th district in the House of Representatives from 1979 to 1993. She is the past Chairwoman of the Kentucky Commission on Women 2004-2007.

Freibert has served on Kentucky Republican Party State Central Committee and the Executive Committees of the Fayette County Republican Party and the Kentucky Federation of Republican Women. She is also the recipient of numerous Public Service Awards.
