Incumbent: Democratic Rep. Ben Chandler
In 2010, the ranks of Blue Dog Democrats dropped from 54 to 25. Chandler, the grandson of the late Gov. Happy Chandler, emerged as a survivor, narrowly defeating Republican Andy Barr. If Chandler, who is regarded as one of the most politically formidable Blue Dogs and a former and future prospective statewide candidate, comes up short in his rematch with Barr, other Blue Dogs could well take the fall, too.
