Tea Party Organizer Mica Sims Endorses Andy Barr for Congress
LEXINGTON, KENTUCKY – Mica Sims, a conservative activist and organizer of Tea Parties in Lexington, announced today on www.MicaSims.com that she is supporting Andy Barr in Kentucky’s Sixth District Congressional race.
“Andy is exactly what Kentucky needs for a congressman,” Sims wrote. “He is a fiscal conservative who will go to Washington and fight for the people of the 6th district. Many can look at Washington and know what needs to be fixed but few can say ‘THIS is what we need to do to fix the problems.’ Andy has consistently been an advocate for smaller government and more accountability. We do not need more career politicians, we need more WE THE PEOPLE to get up and fight for the common folks in Lexington and surrounding counties.”
“I am honored to have Mica’s support for our effort to reconnect the American people to their government,” said Andy Barr. “The Tea Party movement represents many voices, but most of us share a concern that the process in Washington is broken – with backroom deals, trillion-dollar bailouts and thousand-page bills that no one has read. We need new leadership that will stop the career politicians and their reckless tax-and-spend policies that are bankrupting our country.”
“I will continue to reach out to all citizens across the district who share our concerns and invite them to join our effort.”
