Lexington, KY — U.S. Congressman Andy Barr sailed to victory in Tuesday’s Kentucky Republican Primary election in the Sixth Congressional District. Following his victory, Congressman Barr released this statement:

I’m running for re-election because our nation is in crisis and we need proven leaders now more than ever. Congressman Barr was endorsed by former U.S. President Donald Trump, National Right to Life, and the National Rifle Association. The Barr campaign has assembled a war chest of over $2 million heading into the election in November.

Congressman Barr serves as a senior member of the House Financial Services and Foreign Affairs Committees. Since May of 2020, Congressman Barr has served on the House China Task Force. Additionally, Congressman Barr is the top Republican on the Financial Services Subcommittee on National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy that has jurisdiction over the Treasury Department’s implementation of sanctions.

LEXINGTON, KY — Andy Barr for Congress will report nearly $2 million of cash-on-hand, a massive number ahead of the 2022 election season. This is the largest cash-on-hand number Barr has had in an off-election year.

The Federal Election Commission (FEC) filing deadline is at the end of January. Barr is set to report 1,914,550 cash-on-hand, and posted a major, $538,282 fundraising haul during the fourth quarter of 2021. The 2021 fourth quarter is also a Barr record for an off-election year. Barr’s war chest is expected to land him in the top 15% of cash-on-hand for House Republican incumbents nationwide.
